Dr Bill Thomas, Evermore Global Chair and Founder of The Green House Project, will attend the White House Conference on Aging today, 13 July.
The Conference is held every 10 years to identify and advance actions to improve the quality of life of older Americans. The 2015 White House Conference on Aging will look ahead to the issues that will help shape the landscape for older Americans for the next decade.
The groundbreaking Green House Project, inspiration for Evermore, will feature at the Conference that is attended by President Barack Obama.
According to the Changing Aging website, Nora Super, executive director at the White House Conference on Aging, recently visited the Leonard Florence Center for Living in Massachusetts and footage from the visit will be shown during the event.
Evermore founder, Sara McKee, said the Conference is an amazing opportunity to share the vision of both The Green House Project and Evermore.
“Bill and I want to kickstart a revolution where the conversation around ageing changes from one that focuses on decline to one that focuses on opportunities. This event will show policy makers how alternatives, like Green House and Evermore, provide a positive choice for older people and can help them enjoy a happier life for longer.”
The Conference is available to watch here. You can also take part in the conversation on Twitter by using the hashtag #WHCOA.
