A team of senior Australian nurses travelled more than 9,000 miles to see Brierfield’s latest innovation in housing, Evermore.
The group of 14 nurses from Queensland visited Northlight, home to the former Brierfield Mill, yesterday (9 September) for an overview and personalised tour of this revolutionary approach to housing for older people. The NIMAC (Nurses in Management – Aged Care) tour is aimed at networking with international peers and comparing the provision of quality aged care services in different countries.
Sara McKee, CEO of Evermore, led the tour alongside local construction company Barnfield Group. Sara said:“We love sharing ideas and innovations with like-minded people as we’re committed to helping older people enjoy a meaningful and happy life as they age. The right type of housing and support has a key role to play in this, and it was fantastic to share our philosophy and spread the word about Evermore globally.”
