Energetic start-up and older age housing market agitator, Evermore, adds further muscle to its senior management team with the appointment of David Springthorpe as Chief Financial Officer.

Sara McKee, Evermore Founder, said David’s financial acumen combined with his commerciality and entrepreneurial spirit makes him an ideal addition to the team.

“Evermore is going to scale quickly and we need an experienced CFO at the helm who understands the business of growth intimately,” Sara commented. “David’s not afraid of digging deep into the start-up trenches and his advice has already proved invaluable. What’s more, he’s 100 per cent committed to the cause.”

David added: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Evermore, there’s a real revolutionary zeal that permeates the whole team and I can’t wait to get stuck in. There is an enormous market opportunity and I have no doubt Evermore will play a pivotal role in completely changing the lifestyle options available to people in later life, not just in the UK but globally.”

David joins Evermore Founder Sara McKee and COO Jennie Azizi as they drive the Evermore business forward with goals of transforming older age lifestyle options, and international expansion already on the horizon.

He brings with him 24 years of experience at some of the UK’s top companies. The qualified chartered accountant started at Deloitte in 1980, before becoming the financial controller for B&Q, and Director of Finance at Virgin Atlantic Airways.

One of his biggest roles was at BAA, now Heathrow Airport Holdings, where he started as Finance Director before moving up the ranks to become the CFO and Business Strategy Director. After BAA, David spent five years as Group Finance Director then CFO of Anchor Trust.
