SERVICE TO HELP CARE PROVIDERS MEET STRINGENT NEW TESTS LAUNCHED

Independent care homes across the country will be able to access expert help and support through a new Check Prime Renew service from older people’s lifestyle organisation Evermore.

Check Prime Renew has been launched to help to ensure independents and smaller care providers meet new Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines following the launch of the tougher inspection regime.

The service is a 3-stage process to ensure care homes successfully meet the requirements of the new CQC inspection regime and the Care Act that come into force this month.

It is delivered by a team of experienced individuals from the Evermore Academy, led by chief operating officer Jennie Azizi, who have all held senior roles in top five national care home providers.

The Evermore Academy works alongside existing partners and providers to bring the people-orientated Evermore approach to the wider care market. It compliments Evermore’s long-term plans to create a series of Evermore Villages combining attractive property with support services, enabling older people to retain their independence, personal choice and control.

Sara McKee, Evermore Founder, said:

“Large care providers have big infrastructures with in-house quality and compliance specialists. Smaller, independent care homeowners don’t have that luxury.

“As SMEs they generally cover everything from finance, recruitment, training, hospitality and care delivery. We want to enable care homeowners, who are passionate about delivering a great experience for their customers, to be confident that they can fulfill the requirements of the regulator.

“We do this through a 3-stage strategy we’ve designed based on our own extensive experience in the sector.  This includes a full assessment of the home, preparation ahead of an inspection and then support to maintain the quality of the service and build on their staff motivation.”

About Evermore

Evermore Academy:

The market for housing and related services for older people in the UK is at a crossroads. We are driving change by committing ourselves to revolutionising the whole aged care sector. This means working with existing providers looking for innovative ways to deliver outstanding levels of high quality services to ageing consumers.

However, many organisations feel trapped in the current unsustainable proposition, not knowing how to meet the needs of their customers with squeezed budgets. At Evermore Academy, we partner with companies that realise the extent of the gap between their current market offering and the rapidly changing demands of a new generation of ageing consumers.

CHECK: We undertake a thorough assessment of process, care received by residents and even staff motivation

PRIME: We prepare a Quality Improvement and Compliance action plan as well as the administration of appropriate training

RENEW: We provide external support for maintaining improvements following a successful CQC inspection. We enable care homes to enhance public perception, improve staff productivity & satisfaction and maximise future profits.
