Monday saw the launch of the Demos Commission on Residential Care, chaired by Paul Burstow MP.

It’s a long overdue focus on a section of aged care that stopped performing long ago.

While Mr Burstow called for residential care to be rehabilitated, we think it’s too late.

Instead, it’s time to look at new models and offer older people a choice they can embrace not dread.

Just like Claudia Wood from Demos says the Commission will be doing, we have looked at pioneering models overseas, like the Green House Project, and have developed a new way of living called Evermore.

And this week we’ll be speaking to our prospective customers about what they want from Evermore and how we can help them #livehappy. One thing we do know, not one of them wants to live in a care home.

We look forward to sharing this model with the Commission when the call for evidence is announced.
